Danny has a lovely personality and it definitely shines through his work. He makes everyone feel comfortable and get their best smiles out. Would recommend for anything you need photographing. We have done his content club too out and about which was also a good way of getting some different shots. Thanks again Danny!

We had a fab day with Danny and Ellen at Shibden Hall grabbing some amazing photos for our business. Danny didn't have just two people to organise - but also our dog Merlin who decided he wanted in on the action. Never misses a trick! Danny was patient, clear, had a great vision for what we wanted to achieve and delivered some amazing pictures - all at great value. If you're looking to boost your image library then do not hesitate to reach out to him - not only will you get some fab images but you'll have so much fun along the way. Thanks Danny!

I wish I could give 20 stars... I commissioned Danny to take a series of photos - but this was not the usual headshots type of gig. I wanted to do a unique exposé on the REAL life of a CEO - the dark and light that goes on behind the scenes. The shoot would capture the hard moments when depression, self doubt, bad habits can get the best of a CEO. Then contrast that with the light side (the better side). Danny understood the assignment. Oh boy, did he understand it!!! Danny's prep was the thing that stood out to me. Before the shoot, he sent me a 'check of understanding' which demonstrated to me that he 'got it'. (It wasn't a standard gig - and I needed a photographer who was above the norm). The shoot was tough in parts (due to the emotion we were trying to capture). But Danny was absolutely amazing. He noticed when I needed a laugh or a break. His professionalism, emotional intelligence and kindness is what has made this shoot a success. Oh yeah - when I got the pics, I nearly fell off my chair because of how brilliant they were. The pics seriously were WAY better than I could have ever dreamed. His attention to detail is second to none. Seriously. If you've made it this far in this review and you're still wondering if you should hire Danny - then you need to sort your face out and sort your life out. He's AMAZING. He's the BEST. I trust him with my brand. And that's saying something. Thank you Danny - from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Danny photographed our wedding, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease. He captured every special moment so naturally, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Looking through them has allowed us to relive our day all over again. His attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions is incredible. Danny blended into the background when needed but was always there to capture the perfect shot. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was and how hard he worked throughout the day. We are beyond grateful for the memories he has given us and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. Thank you, Danny, for capturing our wedding so perfectly – we will treasure these photos forever!

A Bigger Picture of Your Leeds Project

Stand outside a large development or industrial building and try to fit the whole thing into one photograph.

Not always easy, is it?

You might get the front of the building, but that doesn’t necessarily show the access routes, surrounding infrastructure or what’s happening on the other side of the site.

I’m Danny, and that’s where drone photography can make a real difference.

I work with construction companies, developers, property professionals and businesses across Leeds that need a better way to show what they’re working on.

Sometimes that’s a single aerial photograph of a commercial building. Other projects need regular construction progress images, promotional drone filming or photographs of areas that are difficult to access from ground level.

Leeds has a mixture of city centre developments, large industrial premises, regeneration projects and commercial sites spread across the wider district.

Each one needs a slightly different approach.

I’ll start by finding out what you want the photographs to achieve. Perhaps they’re going into a progress report, a property listing or a presentation for investors. Maybe your marketing team needs some aerial footage for a new website.

Once we know what we’re trying to show, we can look at the location, plan the viewpoints and assess whether the proposed flight is suitable.

Drone photography might look quite straightforward when you see the finished footage. There’s usually a fair bit of preparation behind it.

But that’s my side of things. You just need to tell me what you want to capture.

– Danny T.

Drone Photography Across Leeds

I cover aerial photography enquiries across Leeds, from city centre construction projects to industrial estates, commercial buildings and developments further out.

Every site needs looking at individually, particularly in busier areas where surrounding buildings, roads, people and airspace restrictions can affect what’s possible.

I’m based in Halifax and work across West Yorkshire, so Leeds is well within the area I cover.

If you’ve got a site in mind, send me the address or an accurate map pin, along with what you’re hoping to capture.

Professional Photography for Businesses Across Yorkshire

Your project is bigger than what you can see from the ground. Let’s capture the rest.

Drone & Aerial Photography Services in Leeds

Aerial photography can help document what’s happening on a construction site, show the full extent of a commercial building or give useful visual information about areas that are difficult to see from ground level. I provide drone photography and filming for a range of business and property projects, with each flight planned around the location and intended use.

Aerial drone photograph documenting construction progress at a residential development

Construction Progress Photography

Document the important stages of your development, from groundwork and foundations to structural progress and final completion.

Aerial photographs are useful for client updates, project reports, stakeholder presentations and completed project case studies.

Drone photograph showing commercial transport premises and industrial buildings

Commercial Property & Industrial Photography

Show the size, layout and surroundings of warehouses, office developments, industrial estates and commercial premises.

Useful for property listings, investment presentations, company marketing and documenting larger facilities.

Elevated drone photograph showing rooftop solar panel installations

Roof & Building Visual Inspections

Where suitable and safe, drones can capture visual images of roofs, façades and other hard-to-access areas.

These photographs can support an inspection by a qualified professional, but don’t replace a technical building or structural survey.

Aerial photograph of a residential development and surrounding properties

Property Development Photography

Give potential buyers, investors and project stakeholders a clearer view of a development and how it fits into the surrounding area.

Aerial photographs can help show buildings, access roads, outdoor spaces and the wider site layout.

Industrial Site & Logistics Photography

Capture warehouses, distribution centres, loading areas and the overall layout of larger industrial facilities.

Ideal for business presentations, marketing material, property portfolios and documenting existing site arrangements.

Drone Filming & Promotional Video

Moving aerial footage can help communicate the size of a commercial site, show progress on a building project or introduce a development.

We can discuss edited promotional films, footage for your marketing team or clips for websites and social media.

FROM GROUNDWORKS TO FINAL HANDOVER

Construction Drone Photography in Leeds

If you’re managing a construction project, there’s a good chance you’re juggling contractors, deadlines, client meetings and a seemingly endless list of things that need sorting.

Making sure everybody understands what’s happening on site is another job to add to that list.

Aerial photography can help.

Instead of sending several disconnected photographs from different corners of a development, a drone can capture the whole site and show how the work is progressing.

For projects around Leeds, I can discuss photography at individual milestones or regular visits throughout the construction programme.

We might photograph the site before work begins, return during the main structural stages and capture further images as the buildings, external areas and landscaping take shape.

Where practical, planning similar viewpoints across several visits gives you a more consistent record of the changes.

The images can be useful for progress reports, design reviews, internal presentations and updates to clients or investors.

There’s a marketing benefit too. A series of photographs showing the project from start to finish can make an interesting case study once the work is complete.

For larger developments, drone filming can help explain the size and layout of a site through controlled aerial footage.

I’ll work with the site manager and relevant health and safety team to understand access, ongoing activity and any restrictions before planning the flight.

Whether you’re working on a commercial development, residential scheme or refurbishment project, we’ll plan the photography around what’s important to the build.

Key Construction Stages to Capture

  • Pre-construction site conditions
  • Groundworks and foundations
  • Steelwork and structural progress
  • Roofing and external construction
  • Landscaping and final site works
  • Completed projects and handover

We can arrange one-off photography or discuss scheduled visits that fit around the construction programme and important project milestones.

How Your Leeds Drone Photography Project Works

A drone shoot needs careful planning before anybody takes to the air. I’ll work through the location, requirements and practical arrangements so we know what’s involved from the start.

01 / THE BRIEF

Tell Me About the Site

We’ll discuss the Leeds location, what needs photographing and how the images will be used. I’ll ask about access, nearby activity, important dates and whether you need photographs, video or both.

02 / THE PLANNING

Assess the Proposed Flight

Airspace, permissions, surrounding hazards, suitable operating areas and site-specific requirements are assessed. For live construction sites, relevant arrangements are coordinated with the site team.

03 / THE IMAGES

Capture, Edit & Deliver

When conditions are suitable, the planned photographs and footage are captured. Finished imagery is edited and delivered for the agreed uses, whether that’s reporting, property marketing, websites or promotional content.

Aerial Photography Across Leeds & the Surrounding Area

Leeds has a wide variety of locations where aerial photography can be useful.

There are major developments around the city centre, industrial and logistics premises to the south and east, and commercial properties spread across the wider district.

But the differences between those locations matter when it comes to drone flights.

A city centre development surrounded by buildings and busy roads needs a different assessment from a more open industrial site.

I cover drone photography enquiries throughout Leeds, including:

  • Leeds city centre and South Bank
  • Holbeck and Hunslet
  • Leeds Dock and the Aire Valley
  • Stourton and Cross Green
  • Armley and Kirkstall
  • Headingley and Horsforth
  • Farsley and Pudsey
  • Morley and Rothwell
  • Garforth and surrounding areas

I can also discuss projects elsewhere across West Yorkshire.

Every proposed location is assessed individually, so the first thing I’ll need is the site address or an accurate map pin.

That gives me somewhere to start when considering the surrounding area, airspace restrictions, access and what type of operation might be possible.

Safe, Planned & Compliant Drone Operations

Drone photography involves more than getting permission to stand on a property.

The surrounding environment matters too, particularly in a busy city with roads, neighbouring buildings, public spaces and controlled airspace.

Before confirming a flight, there are several things to consider:

  • Applicable UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements
  • Airspace restrictions and required permissions
  • Nearby roads, buildings and public areas
  • People who aren’t involved in the operation
  • Suitable take-off and landing locations
  • Weather, visibility and wind conditions
  • Power lines, cranes and other site hazards
  • Construction activity and site safety procedures

Some locations around Leeds may be affected by controlled airspace associated with Leeds Bradford Airport or other restrictions, depending on the exact site.

For active construction projects, the proposed flight may also require coordination with site management, relevant inductions and risk assessment documentation.

Flights are planned under applicable CAA requirements, using appropriately authorised operators for the proposed operation.

If a particular flight can’t be carried out safely or legally, I’ll explain the limitations and discuss whether there’s another suitable approach.

Combining Drone & Commercial Photography

Sometimes an aerial photograph is exactly what you need. Other times, it works best as part of a wider collection.

Take a commercial property development, for example.

A drone can show the scale of the site, the surrounding roads and how the buildings fit together. But you might also need photographs of the finished interiors, important details and the people involved in the project.

For an industrial company, aerial images can show the size and layout of the premises, while ground-level photographs capture the equipment, production processes and staff working inside.

Because I also provide commercial photography across Leeds, we can discuss covering both perspectives as part of the same project.

That might include:

  • Commercial property and aerial photography
  • Construction progress and finished project images
  • Industrial facilities and manufacturing processes
  • Business premises and workplace photography
  • Development case studies and marketing images
  • Company websites, brochures and presentations

It’s worth thinking about the full collection you need before arranging the visit, particularly if the photographs are going into the same website or project report.

Leeds Drone Photography FAQs

Thinking about drone photography for a construction site or commercial property? Here are a few things worth knowing before booking. You can also call me on 07540 118 284.

Do you provide drone photography throughout Leeds?

Yes. I cover drone photography enquiries across Leeds, including the city centre, South Bank, Holbeck, Hunslet, Stourton, Morley, Pudsey, Garforth and surrounding areas. Every proposed flight is assessed individually before it can be confirmed.

Can you photograph a live construction site in Leeds?

Yes, where the proposed operation can be carried out safely and legally. Live construction sites need careful planning around workers, machinery, cranes, access and other activities. I’ll discuss the relevant requirements with your site team beforehand.

Can we arrange monthly drone photography for construction progress?

Yes. We can plan regular visits or photography around specific construction milestones. Where practical, photographing from similar viewpoints provides a more consistent visual record and can make progress easier to show in client updates and reports.

Can you photograph a warehouse or distribution centre from above?

Potentially, yes. Aerial photography can help show the scale and layout of larger industrial premises, including access roads, loading areas and surrounding infrastructure. I’ll need the exact site location and intended photographs before assessing the proposed flight.

Can you fly a drone in Leeds city centre?

That depends on the exact location, aircraft and proposed operation. Busy roads, neighbouring buildings and people not involved in the flight can place important restrictions on what’s possible. Each city centre location needs to be assessed before any flight can be confirmed.

Does Leeds Bradford Airport affect where drones can fly?

Some locations may be affected by controlled or restricted airspace associated with Leeds Bradford Airport. The exact site needs checking against current airspace information, with any required permissions arranged before flying.

Can drone photographs help with roof inspections?

Where suitable, aerial photographs can provide visual images of roofs, façades and other elevated areas. These images can support inspection work by an appropriately qualified professional, but don’t replace a technical building survey or structural assessment.

Do you offer aerial video as well as photographs?

Yes. Drone filming can be useful for construction updates, property marketing, completed project case studies and promotional videos. We can discuss edited footage, social media clips or material for your own marketing or video production team.

Can you combine drone photography with commercial property photographs?

Yes. We can discuss combining aerial photographs with ground-level images of the building, interiors, surrounding facilities and other important features. This can be useful when preparing a complete marketing package for a commercial property or development.

Are drone flights planned and risk-assessed?

Yes. Proposed operations are assessed for airspace restrictions, permissions, site conditions and relevant hazards. Flights follow applicable UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements and use appropriately authorised operators for the proposed operation.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable for drone photography?

High winds, heavy rain and poor visibility can prevent safe flying. If conditions aren’t suitable, the flight won’t go ahead and we’ll discuss rearranging the visit for a safer opportunity.

How much does drone photography in Leeds cost?

Pricing depends on the site location, access, flight planning, complexity and whether you need photographs, video or repeat visits. Send me the basic project details and I can prepare a quotation based on the work involved.

What details should I send when enquiring about a drone shoot?

The most helpful information is the site address or map pin, what you’d like photographed, how the images will be used and any important dates. If you’re arranging construction progress visits or working on a site with particular access restrictions, include those details too.
