Danny has a lovely personality and it definitely shines through his work. He makes everyone feel comfortable and get their best smiles out. Would recommend for anything you need photographing. We have done his content club too out and about which was also a good way of getting some different shots. Thanks again Danny!

We had a fab day with Danny and Ellen at Shibden Hall grabbing some amazing photos for our business. Danny didn't have just two people to organise - but also our dog Merlin who decided he wanted in on the action. Never misses a trick! Danny was patient, clear, had a great vision for what we wanted to achieve and delivered some amazing pictures - all at great value. If you're looking to boost your image library then do not hesitate to reach out to him - not only will you get some fab images but you'll have so much fun along the way. Thanks Danny!

I wish I could give 20 stars... I commissioned Danny to take a series of photos - but this was not the usual headshots type of gig. I wanted to do a unique exposé on the REAL life of a CEO - the dark and light that goes on behind the scenes. The shoot would capture the hard moments when depression, self doubt, bad habits can get the best of a CEO. Then contrast that with the light side (the better side). Danny understood the assignment. Oh boy, did he understand it!!! Danny's prep was the thing that stood out to me. Before the shoot, he sent me a 'check of understanding' which demonstrated to me that he 'got it'. (It wasn't a standard gig - and I needed a photographer who was above the norm). The shoot was tough in parts (due to the emotion we were trying to capture). But Danny was absolutely amazing. He noticed when I needed a laugh or a break. His professionalism, emotional intelligence and kindness is what has made this shoot a success. Oh yeah - when I got the pics, I nearly fell off my chair because of how brilliant they were. The pics seriously were WAY better than I could have ever dreamed. His attention to detail is second to none. Seriously. If you've made it this far in this review and you're still wondering if you should hire Danny - then you need to sort your face out and sort your life out. He's AMAZING. He's the BEST. I trust him with my brand. And that's saying something. Thank you Danny - from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Danny photographed our wedding, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease. He captured every special moment so naturally, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Looking through them has allowed us to relive our day all over again. His attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions is incredible. Danny blended into the background when needed but was always there to capture the perfect shot. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was and how hard he worked throughout the day. We are beyond grateful for the memories he has given us and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. Thank you, Danny, for capturing our wedding so perfectly – we will treasure these photos forever!

Commercial Photography for Businesses Across Leeds

Picture this. You’ve spent months getting a new website ready, the copy’s been signed off, the design looks great and then somebody asks where all the photographs are.

Suddenly you’re digging through an old shared folder trying to find a decent picture of the team.

Sound familiar?

I’m Danny, and I help Leeds businesses avoid that particular headache.

I photograph the things companies need to show their customers, employees and potential clients. People, products, premises, projects and the work happening behind the scenes.

Some of my work involves straightforward corporate portraits. Other projects need photography across different departments, several business locations or an entire collection of products.

A creative agency might already have a detailed shot list ready for me. A business owner might simply know the current photographs aren’t doing the company justice.

Both are absolutely fine.

I’ll want to know what the pictures are for, who’s going to use them and what they need to communicate. Then we can work out locations, lighting, people and the best way to approach the shoot.

No unnecessary fuss or complicated photography talk. Just a proper plan, a relaxed approach and images you’ll have a use for.

– Danny T.

We highly recommend using Danny Thompson for your photography. We hired him to shoot our commercial business shots. He’s really easy to work with and got the result we wanted professionally and effortlessly.

Commercial Drone & Aerial Photography in Leeds

When you’re marketing a commercial property or reporting on a construction project, sometimes you need to show more than one building or a single part of the site.

Aerial photography lets you put everything into context.

For Leeds businesses, drone photography can help show the layout of industrial premises, commercial developments, logistics sites and larger properties. It can also provide an additional perspective for project portfolios, company presentations and marketing campaigns.

If you’re managing a development over several months, we can discuss photographing from consistent viewpoints to help document how the work progresses.

Of course, flying a drone in a busy city isn’t something you can do without preparation.

Every proposed shoot needs to be assessed for airspace restrictions, permissions, nearby buildings and people, weather and safe operating conditions. Areas around Leeds Bradford Airport and other controlled or restricted airspace may have additional requirements.

Send me the address and a bit about the project, and I’ll assess what’s practical before we make any plans.

Commercial Aerial Photography for:

  • Construction and development progress
  • Commercial property and industrial estates
  • Warehouse and logistics premises
  • High-level external building views
  • Marketing material and project portfolios
  • Aerial photographs and promotional video

Got a site in Leeds you’d like photographed? Tell me where it is and what you’re hoping to show.

Commercial Photography Without the Organising Headache

Getting a whole team together, arranging access to different premises or photographing a long list of products takes a bit of planning. I’ll help make sure we’ve got the important details sorted before shoot day.

01 / WORK OUT THE BRIEF

What Do You Need to Show?

We’ll look at the images your business needs, where they’ll be used and who’s involved. From there, we can put together a shot list and agree the locations and schedule.

02 / GET THE SHOTS

A Shoot That Works Around You

I’ll bring the equipment, arrange the lighting and guide people through the photographs. We’ll work around your business operations and allow time for different setups.

03 / PUT THEM TO WORK

Finished Images for Your Business

Your selected photographs will be edited and supplied through an online gallery. We’ll agree file requirements, intended uses and delivery timescales before the shoot.

On-Location Commercial Photography Across Leeds

There are plenty of different working environments across Leeds, which is one of the things that makes commercial photography interesting.

An office in the city centre might need a quiet space for staff headshots, followed by photographs of the team working together.

A manufacturing or logistics business in Hunslet, Stourton or Cross Green may need photographs of equipment, operations and different parts of its premises.

And for a retailer, hospitality venue or property business, the location itself could be a big part of what the photographs need to show.

I work across Leeds city centre and surrounding areas including Holbeck, Armley, Kirkstall, Headingley, Horsforth, Farsley, Pudsey, Morley, Garforth and the wider district.

For larger businesses with several locations, we can discuss how to organise the photography across different sites.

The practical details matter too. We’ll agree access, suitable times, staff availability and any site requirements beforehand.

That way, the photography can happen without unnecessarily disrupting the people trying to get on with their jobs.

Photography That Works for Your Marketing Team

A good photograph isn’t always the one that looks most impressive on its own. Sometimes it’s the one that fits perfectly into the website layout, shows the detail a customer needs or leaves enough space for a headline.

That’s why it’s worth thinking about the end use before we start.

Commercial photography can support:

  • Company websites and service landing pages
  • Corporate brochures and sales presentations
  • eCommerce websites and product listings
  • LinkedIn profiles and team directories
  • Recruitment campaigns and employer branding
  • PR, news announcements and event coverage
  • Paid advertising and social media campaigns
  • Case studies, tenders and project portfolios

If you’re working with an agency or in-house designer, send over the brief. We can plan photographs with the right orientation, composition and space for text, rather than trying to crop something into shape afterwards.

For a larger campaign, we’ll also consider whether you need a mixture of wide photographs, portraits and smaller details so there’s enough variety to work with.

Studio Photography or a Shoot at Your Leeds Premises?

It really depends on what needs photographing.

If you’re updating headshots for fifty employees, bringing the equipment to your Leeds office could make everyone’s life easier. Staff can come in for their photograph without losing half the day travelling somewhere else.

Likewise, if you want customers to see your manufacturing operation or the interior of your new premises, the photographs need to happen there.

But some jobs benefit from a dedicated studio.

For product photography, individual portraits and branding work that needs carefully controlled lighting, my studio at Dean Clough in Halifax is another option.

Albion Street Studios gives us a space where backgrounds and lighting can be set up consistently, particularly useful for eCommerce product ranges and professional portraits.

We’ll decide what works best based on the brief, equipment and practicalities.

Find out more about Albion Street Studios.

Fresh Commercial Photography When You Need It

A new starter, another product launch, a completed project or a campaign that needs something different. If your marketing calendar is constantly moving, you might benefit from having photography planned more regularly rather than organising everything from scratch.

Content Club

For business owners who need fresh professional portraits and personal branding photographs without arranging a full individual shoot every time. Content Club offers regular group photography sessions to help keep your marketing images current.

Club Business

If your company needs ongoing photography and short-form video, Club Business brings content planning and production together. We can plan images around campaigns, products, new team members and the projects you’ve got coming up.

Leeds Commercial Photography FAQs

Organising photography for your business? Here are a few practical things worth knowing. You can also call me on 07540 118 284.

Can you photograph our team at our Leeds office?

Yes. I can bring a professional headshot setup to a suitable space at your office, making it easier to photograph several employees without arranging for everyone to travel. We can also include group shots and natural workplace images if they’re part of the brief.

Can you work with our Leeds marketing agency or web designer?

Absolutely. If your agency has prepared a shot list, mood board, website layouts or image dimensions, send them over. I can use the information to help plan compositions and make sure the photographs work for the intended designs and marketing materials.

Can you photograph different departments across several company locations?

Yes. If your organisation has multiple Leeds premises or departments, we can create a schedule covering the people, spaces and activities that need photographing at each site. We’ll take travel, access and equipment requirements into account.

What should we consider when organising corporate headshots for a large team?

It’s worth agreeing a consistent background, lighting style and framing, along with a suitable room and schedule. We’ll also discuss how many people need photographing and whether you want individual portraits, group photographs or both.

Do you offer product photography for eCommerce businesses in Leeds?

Yes. I photograph products for online shops, catalogues and advertising. We can discuss clean backgrounds, product angles, detailed close-ups and styled images. If your website or marketplace has specific file requirements, those can be included in the brief.

Can you photograph our commercial property before it goes on the market?

Yes. I can photograph offices, industrial units, retail premises and other commercial properties, covering interiors, external views and important features. We can also discuss whether aerial photographs would be suitable for the location.

Can you photograph warehouses, factories and logistics premises?

Yes. Industrial photography can cover facilities, machinery, processes, products and staff at work. Before visiting, we’ll discuss access, safety procedures, protective equipment and any parts of the operation that mustn’t be photographed.

Is commercial drone photography available across Leeds?

It depends on the location. I’ll need to check airspace restrictions, permissions, surrounding buildings and people, weather and safe operating conditions. Some Leeds sites have additional restrictions, so send me the address and project details for an initial assessment.

Can you provide photography for conferences and business events?

Yes. I cover conferences, exhibitions, product launches, company celebrations, awards and other business events. We can agree the key photographs, including speakers, sponsors, presentations and guests, based on your event schedule.

Can we request images in specific sizes or orientations for our website?

Yes. If your web designer needs wide banners, square images, portraits or photographs with room for text, it’s best to share those requirements before the shoot. That means we can plan the composition with the final layout in mind.

What if we need photographs for a campaign with a fixed launch date?

Let me know the deadline as early as possible. We’ll discuss the photography, editing requirements and expected turnaround before confirming the project. It’s important to allow enough time for planning and delivery, particularly when several locations or setups are involved.

Can we use our commercial photographs in paid advertising and printed materials?

We’ll agree the intended usage as part of your photography brief. That might include your website, social media, paid advertising, printed brochures, PR, recruitment or company presentations. Any particular licensing or file requirements should be discussed before the shoot.
