Danny has a lovely personality and it definitely shines through his work. He makes everyone feel comfortable and get their best smiles out. Would recommend for anything you need photographing. We have done his content club too out and about which was also a good way of getting some different shots. Thanks again Danny!

We had a fab day with Danny and Ellen at Shibden Hall grabbing some amazing photos for our business. Danny didn't have just two people to organise - but also our dog Merlin who decided he wanted in on the action. Never misses a trick! Danny was patient, clear, had a great vision for what we wanted to achieve and delivered some amazing pictures - all at great value. If you're looking to boost your image library then do not hesitate to reach out to him - not only will you get some fab images but you'll have so much fun along the way. Thanks Danny!

I wish I could give 20 stars... I commissioned Danny to take a series of photos - but this was not the usual headshots type of gig. I wanted to do a unique exposé on the REAL life of a CEO - the dark and light that goes on behind the scenes. The shoot would capture the hard moments when depression, self doubt, bad habits can get the best of a CEO. Then contrast that with the light side (the better side). Danny understood the assignment. Oh boy, did he understand it!!! Danny's prep was the thing that stood out to me. Before the shoot, he sent me a 'check of understanding' which demonstrated to me that he 'got it'. (It wasn't a standard gig - and I needed a photographer who was above the norm). The shoot was tough in parts (due to the emotion we were trying to capture). But Danny was absolutely amazing. He noticed when I needed a laugh or a break. His professionalism, emotional intelligence and kindness is what has made this shoot a success. Oh yeah - when I got the pics, I nearly fell off my chair because of how brilliant they were. The pics seriously were WAY better than I could have ever dreamed. His attention to detail is second to none. Seriously. If you've made it this far in this review and you're still wondering if you should hire Danny - then you need to sort your face out and sort your life out. He's AMAZING. He's the BEST. I trust him with my brand. And that's saying something. Thank you Danny - from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Danny photographed our wedding, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease. He captured every special moment so naturally, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Looking through them has allowed us to relive our day all over again. His attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions is incredible. Danny blended into the background when needed but was always there to capture the perfect shot. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was and how hard he worked throughout the day. We are beyond grateful for the memories he has given us and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. Thank you, Danny, for capturing our wedding so perfectly – we will treasure these photos forever!

Aerial Photography With a Proper Purpose

Halifax isn’t exactly short of interesting buildings and landscapes. We’ve got old mills, industrial premises, new developments and plenty of steep hills that make some properties rather difficult to photograph from the ground.

Sometimes you can stand in front of a building all day and still struggle to show somebody the full scale of it.

I’m Danny, and that’s one of the reasons I offer drone photography.

An aerial photograph can show how a construction project is progressing, where a commercial building sits in relation to its surroundings or the extent of a site that would otherwise take several ground-level photographs to explain.

I work with contractors, developers, property professionals and businesses that need photographs for something specific.

You might be keeping a client updated on a building project, preparing a commercial property for marketing or trying to show the completed work on a difficult-to-access roof.

Whatever the job, I’ll start by asking what you actually need to see.

There’s no point flying a drone just because it looks impressive. The photographs should help you communicate something, document progress or give your customers information they wouldn’t otherwise have.

Being based at Dean Clough in Halifax means I’m local to the area, which is handy when projects need discussing or coordinating with site teams.

We’ll look at what’s possible, plan the operation properly and arrange photography that works around your project.

– Danny T.

Based in Halifax, Covering Calderdale

I’m based at Dean Clough and cover drone photography enquiries throughout Halifax and surrounding areas.

Whether you’re working on a commercial property in the town centre, a development towards Elland or an industrial site elsewhere in Calderdale, I can assess the proposed location.

Every flight is different, particularly around busy roads, buildings and working environments.

Send me the site address, what you’d like photographed and how you intend to use the images. That’s enough to get the conversation started.

Professional Photography for Businesses Across Yorkshire

From the first day on site to the finished project. Let’s capture the whole picture.

Drone & Aerial Photography Services in Halifax

Drone photography can be useful for far more than a nice aerial view. For developers, contractors, property managers and businesses, it can provide a clearer record of what’s happening on site and produce imagery that supports marketing, planning discussions and project updates.

Drone photograph showing progress on a residential development in Halifax

Construction Progress Photography

Capture the important stages of a development, from initial groundwork to the finished building. Aerial photographs help show progress across the whole site and provide useful material for reports, updates and case studies.

We can discuss individual visits or repeat photography throughout the project.

Aerial photography of commercial and industrial buildings

Commercial Property Photography

Show prospective buyers, tenants and investors the full layout of a property, including buildings, access routes and the surrounding area.

Useful for industrial units, offices, commercial premises and larger development sites.

Aerial drone photograph of a roof with solar panel installation

Roof & Building Visual Inspections

Where safe and appropriate, aerial photographs can provide a closer look at roofs, façades and elevated parts of a building without placing a photographer at roof level.

The photographs can support inspections by qualified professionals but don’t replace a technical building survey.

Aerial photograph showing a residential development and surrounding properties

Put residential and commercial developments into context with photographs showing the buildings, layout and wider surroundings.

Ideal for marketing new schemes, recording completed work and giving stakeholders a clearer overview.

Aerial photography of warehouses, transport premises and industrial facilities

Useful for property marketing, company websites and commercial presentations.

Overhead drone photography showing buildings, roads and the surrounding area

Drone Filming & Promotional Video

Aerial video can help viewers understand a site through movement, showing the scale of a development or introducing a commercial property from a different perspective.

Footage can be supplied for your own production team or edited into finished marketing material.

CAPTURING YOUR PROJECT AS IT DEVELOPS

Construction Drone Photography in Halifax

If you’re involved in construction, you’ll know that things can change dramatically between site visits.

One month there might be nothing more than groundwork and foundations. Before you know it, the structure’s up, the roof is going on and everybody’s trying to get the next stage finished.

For the people working on the project, those changes are obvious.

For clients, investors and stakeholders who aren’t visiting regularly, it’s not always as easy to understand what’s happening.

That’s where construction drone photography can help.

An aerial photograph provides a wider view of the site, showing how different parts of the work fit together. When photographs are taken at important milestones, they can also create a visual record of the development from start to finish.

That might be useful for client updates, project reports, internal presentations or marketing material once the build is complete.

Around Halifax and Calderdale, projects can include everything from new housing developments to commercial buildings, conversions and refurbishment work.

Each site brings different considerations, especially where access, surrounding properties or difficult terrain are involved.

I’ll coordinate with the relevant site team, discuss the photographs required and assess the proposed operation before arranging any flight.

Whether you need a single visit or regular updates, we can build the photography around the milestones that matter to your project.

Useful Stages to Photograph

  • Before construction begins
  • Groundworks and site preparation
  • Foundations and structural progress
  • Roofing and external works
  • Landscaping and site completion
  • Final handover and case study images

Repeat photographs can be planned from similar viewpoints to make changes easier to compare throughout the project.

How I Arrange Your Aerial Photography

Drone photography involves a bit more preparation than turning up with a camera. I’ll work through the practical details with you so we know what’s required before arriving on site.

01 / THE BRIEF

Let’s Talk About the Site

We’ll discuss the Halifax location, what you’re hoping to capture and how the photographs will be used. I’ll ask about site access, activities, any important dates and whether you need stills, video or both.

02 / THE PLANNING

Assess the Proposed Flight

Airspace, permissions, surrounding areas, safe take-off and landing locations and relevant site hazards are assessed. On construction sites, I’ll coordinate the required arrangements with the site manager and safety team.

03 / THE RESULTS

Capture, Edit & Deliver

When conditions allow, the planned aerial photographs and footage are captured. Finished imagery is edited and supplied for its agreed uses, whether that’s reporting, marketing, property listings or project records.

Aerial Photography Across Halifax & Calderdale

Halifax has some fantastic buildings and landscapes, but they don’t always make life straightforward for aerial photography.

You might be working on an old mill building surrounded by other properties, a construction site on sloping land or a commercial building close to a busy road.

Each location has its own practical considerations.

Being based locally, I can discuss drone photography projects across Halifax and the surrounding Calderdale area, including:

  • Halifax town centre
  • Dean Clough and Pellon
  • Northowram and Shelf
  • Elland and Greetland
  • Brighouse and Hipperholme
  • Sowerby Bridge
  • Ripponden and Rishworth
  • Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd
  • Todmorden and surrounding areas

I can also discuss projects further afield across West Yorkshire.

Rather than assuming a drone can fly anywhere, I’ll assess the proposed location before making arrangements.

If you can send over an address or a map pin, along with a description of the building or site, that’s a good starting point.

Safe & Compliant Drone Photography

It’s important to understand that drone photography isn’t automatically possible just because you’ve got permission to access a property.

The wider surroundings matter too.

Before a flight, there are several things to consider:

  • Airspace restrictions and required permissions
  • Applicable UK CAA operating requirements
  • Nearby buildings, roads and public areas
  • People who aren’t involved in the operation
  • Suitable take-off and landing locations
  • Wind, rain, visibility and other weather conditions
  • Power lines, structures and site-specific hazards
  • Access and coordination with site management

For construction and industrial work, the proposed flight may also need coordinating with site inductions, safety procedures and other activities taking place.

Flights are planned and risk-assessed, with appropriately authorised operators used for the proposed operation.

If restrictions or site conditions mean a particular photograph isn’t possible, I’ll explain the limitations and discuss what alternatives might be suitable.

Safety comes before getting the shot.

Drone Photography & Commercial Photography Together

One of the advantages of combining aerial and ground-level photography is being able to show a project from several perspectives.

A drone can capture the full layout of a commercial development, but you might also need detailed photographs of the finished building, interior spaces and workmanship.

Likewise, an industrial site might look impressive from above, but your marketing could benefit from images of the machinery and people working inside.

I also provide commercial photography across Halifax, so we can discuss combining both as part of the same project.

This can be particularly useful for:

  • Commercial property marketing
  • Construction progress and finished project case studies
  • Industrial and manufacturing businesses
  • Property developments and conversions
  • Company websites and marketing brochures
  • Business facilities and workplace photography

We’ll discuss exactly what your project needs, then decide whether aerial photography, ground-level photography or a combination would be most useful.

Halifax Drone Photography FAQs

Thinking about aerial photography for a building or project? Here are some common questions. You can also call me on 07540 118 284.

Do you offer drone photography throughout Halifax and Calderdale?

Yes. I’m based at Dean Clough in Halifax and cover drone photography enquiries throughout the surrounding area, including Elland, Brighouse, Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge and other parts of Calderdale. Every proposed location needs assessing before a flight can be confirmed.

Can you fly a drone over an active construction site?

Yes, where the proposed operation can be carried out safely and legally. Live construction sites require careful planning around people, machinery, site activities and access. I’ll work with the site team to understand the relevant safety arrangements before visiting.

Can we arrange monthly aerial construction progress photographs?

Yes. We can discuss regular visits or flights around important construction milestones. Where suitable, planning photographs from similar viewpoints can create a more consistent record of how the development changes over time.

Can you photograph mills and older industrial buildings in Halifax?

Potentially, yes. Aerial photography can show the roofs, layout and surroundings of older industrial buildings and mill properties. The feasibility depends on the exact location, neighbouring buildings, people, permissions and other flight considerations.

Can a drone photograph our roof for inspection purposes?

Where it’s safe and permitted, I can provide aerial photographs of roofs, façades and other difficult-to-see areas. These can support an inspection by a suitably qualified professional, but aren’t a replacement for a structural survey or technical assessment.

Do you offer aerial video as well as photographs?

Yes. Drone filming can be useful for construction progress, commercial property marketing, completed projects and promotional content. We can discuss footage for your own editing team or a finished video as part of the brief.

Can you photograph an industrial unit or warehouse from above?

Yes, where the site is suitable for drone operations. Aerial photographs can show the size and layout of the building, outdoor facilities, access routes and surrounding environment. I’ll need the location and an idea of the photographs required before assessing the flight.

Are your drone flights planned and risk-assessed?

Yes. Proposed operations are assessed for airspace restrictions, permissions, surrounding hazards and site safety. Flights follow applicable UK CAA requirements and use appropriately authorised operators for the type of operation being carried out.

Can you fly a drone in Halifax town centre?

That depends on the exact location and type of flight. Busy areas, roads, neighbouring buildings and people not involved in the operation can affect what’s permitted. I’ll need to assess the site and proposed photographs before confirming whether flying is possible.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable for drone photography?

High winds, heavy rain and poor visibility can make drone flights unsafe. If conditions aren’t suitable, the flight won’t go ahead and we’ll discuss rearranging the visit for a better opportunity.

How much does drone photography in Halifax cost?

Pricing depends on the location, site access, complexity, flight planning and whether you need still photographs, video or repeat visits. Once I’ve got the basic project details, I can provide a quotation based on what’s involved.

What information do you need before quoting for aerial photography?

Ideally, send me the site address or a map pin, the type of building or project, what you’d like photographed and how the finished images will be used. If you have important dates, site restrictions or plans for repeat visits, include those too.
