Danny has a lovely personality and it definitely shines through his work. He makes everyone feel comfortable and get their best smiles out. Would recommend for anything you need photographing. We have done his content club too out and about which was also a good way of getting some different shots. Thanks again Danny!

We had a fab day with Danny and Ellen at Shibden Hall grabbing some amazing photos for our business. Danny didn't have just two people to organise - but also our dog Merlin who decided he wanted in on the action. Never misses a trick! Danny was patient, clear, had a great vision for what we wanted to achieve and delivered some amazing pictures - all at great value. If you're looking to boost your image library then do not hesitate to reach out to him - not only will you get some fab images but you'll have so much fun along the way. Thanks Danny!

I wish I could give 20 stars... I commissioned Danny to take a series of photos - but this was not the usual headshots type of gig. I wanted to do a unique exposé on the REAL life of a CEO - the dark and light that goes on behind the scenes. The shoot would capture the hard moments when depression, self doubt, bad habits can get the best of a CEO. Then contrast that with the light side (the better side). Danny understood the assignment. Oh boy, did he understand it!!! Danny's prep was the thing that stood out to me. Before the shoot, he sent me a 'check of understanding' which demonstrated to me that he 'got it'. (It wasn't a standard gig - and I needed a photographer who was above the norm). The shoot was tough in parts (due to the emotion we were trying to capture). But Danny was absolutely amazing. He noticed when I needed a laugh or a break. His professionalism, emotional intelligence and kindness is what has made this shoot a success. Oh yeah - when I got the pics, I nearly fell off my chair because of how brilliant they were. The pics seriously were WAY better than I could have ever dreamed. His attention to detail is second to none. Seriously. If you've made it this far in this review and you're still wondering if you should hire Danny - then you need to sort your face out and sort your life out. He's AMAZING. He's the BEST. I trust him with my brand. And that's saying something. Thank you Danny - from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Danny photographed our wedding, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease. He captured every special moment so naturally, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Looking through them has allowed us to relive our day all over again. His attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions is incredible. Danny blended into the background when needed but was always there to capture the perfect shot. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was and how hard he worked throughout the day. We are beyond grateful for the memories he has given us and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. Thank you, Danny, for capturing our wedding so perfectly – we will treasure these photos forever!

A Different View of Your Wakefield Project

Picture a large distribution centre, with warehouses, loading areas, access roads and vehicles moving around the site.

Now imagine trying to show somebody the entire operation using a few photographs taken from outside the entrance.

You might get a decent picture of the building, but you’re probably missing most of what makes the site interesting.

I’m Danny, and that’s where drone photography comes in.

Aerial images can show the size, layout and surroundings of a commercial property in ways that aren’t possible from the ground.

Wakefield has plenty of locations where that can be useful. From warehouses and logistics facilities around Normanton to commercial developments, construction projects and industrial premises across the wider district.

I work with contractors, developers, property professionals and businesses that need aerial photographs for a reason.

Maybe you’re documenting progress on a new development, preparing a property for marketing or showing stakeholders the extent of an industrial site.

You might need photographs of a roof or elevated part of a building that isn’t easily visible from below.

Whatever you’re working on, I’ll start by understanding what you need the images to show.

We’ll discuss the site, the intended use and whether still photographs, moving footage or a combination would be most useful.

Then comes the important bit: assessing the proposed flight and making sure everything can be carried out safely and legally.

The result should be more than an impressive photograph. It should give you something genuinely useful for your project.

Professional Photography for Businesses Across Yorkshire

A better view can tell a much bigger story. Let’s capture yours from above.

Drone & Aerial Photography Services in Wakefield

There’s more to drone photography than getting an interesting view from above. For construction companies, developers, property professionals and industrial businesses, aerial images can help document progress, explain the layout of a site and produce useful material for reports, marketing and presentations.

Construction Progress Photography

Document how a development changes from the initial site preparation through to the finished project.

Aerial photographs can help contractors, developers and project managers show progress, prepare client updates and create a visual record of important milestones.

Commercial & Industrial Property Photography

Show the scale and setting of warehouses, business premises, industrial estates and commercial developments.

Aerial photographs can capture the buildings, access routes, outdoor areas and surrounding infrastructure for property marketing and company presentations.

Roof & Building Visual Inspections

Where safe and permitted, drone photography can provide visual images of roofs, façades and other areas that are difficult to see from ground level.

These photographs can support inspection work by qualified professionals but don’t replace a structural or technical building survey.

Property Development Photography

Give prospective buyers, investors and stakeholders a better understanding of a development and its location.

Aerial images can show the arrangement of buildings, access roads, surrounding properties and wider landscape, making them useful for marketing and project portfolios.

Drone Filming & Promotional Video

Moving aerial footage can help viewers understand the scale of a development, introduce commercial premises or show how a project is progressing.

We can discuss finished promotional films, short clips for social media or footage supplied for your own marketing team.

KEEP YOUR PROJECT MOVING

Construction Drone Photography in Wakefield

If you’re running a construction project, you’ll know how quickly things can change.

One week, the site might be full of groundwork and machinery. A few months later, the structure has taken shape, roofing is underway and work is moving into the next stage.

For the people visiting site every day, progress is obvious.

For clients, investors and stakeholders who aren’t there regularly, it’s not always so easy to see.

Aerial photography can help make those updates clearer.

Instead of relying entirely on photographs taken from different areas at ground level, a drone can show the layout of the site and how the work is progressing across the development.

For projects around Wakefield, we can discuss aerial photography at individual milestones or regular visits throughout the construction programme.

That might include photographs before work starts, during groundworks and structural stages, as external areas develop and once the project has been completed.

Where practical, we can plan similar viewpoints across several visits. This helps make the changes between different stages easier to compare.

The photographs can be useful for progress reports, client presentations, project records and completed case studies.

Drone filming is another option, particularly when you want to communicate the scale of a site or produce a more engaging project update.

I’ll discuss the proposed operation with the site manager, including access, ongoing activities, safety requirements and the photographs needed.

The aim is to fit the photography around your construction programme rather than cause unnecessary disruption.

Construction Milestones Worth Capturing

  • Before work begins
  • Site preparation and groundwork
  • Foundations and structural progress
  • Roofing and external building work
  • Landscaping and final site works
  • Completed development and handover

We can plan individual shoots or repeat visits that follow the project programme and document the stages that matter most.

How Your Drone Photography Project Works

Drone photography needs planning before anybody takes to the air. I’ll work through the practical details so the proposed operation is properly assessed and the images are planned around your requirements.

01 / THE ENQUIRY

Tell Me About Your Site

We’ll discuss the Wakefield location, what you need to capture and how the photographs will be used. I’ll ask about access, site activity, important dates and whether you need still photography, video or both.

02 / THE FLIGHT PLAN

Check What’s Possible

The proposed flight is assessed for airspace restrictions, permissions, hazards and suitable operating conditions. Where necessary, site arrangements are coordinated with the project manager and relevant safety team.

03 / THE DELIVERY

Capture, Edit & Deliver

When conditions are suitable, the planned photographs and footage are captured. Finished imagery is edited and delivered for the agreed uses, including construction reporting, property marketing, websites and promotional material.

Aerial Photography Across Wakefield & the Surrounding District

Wakefield has plenty of variety when it comes to commercial and construction sites.

There are warehouses and logistics premises around Normanton, industrial and manufacturing businesses across the district, property developments and commercial buildings in and around the city.

For drone photography, those different locations bring different considerations.

A large industrial site might offer opportunities to show the whole premises and surrounding infrastructure, while a development close to a busy town centre could involve more restrictions.

I cover drone photography enquiries across Wakefield and surrounding areas including:

  • Wakefield city centre
  • Outwood and Stanley
  • Horbury and Ossett
  • Normanton and Altofts
  • Castleford and Glasshoughton
  • Pontefract and Knottingley
  • Ferrybridge
  • Featherstone
  • South Elmsall and South Kirkby

I can also discuss projects elsewhere across West Yorkshire.

Every site needs assessing individually, so the first step is to send me its address or an accurate map pin.

That gives me somewhere to start when checking the surroundings, access requirements, airspace and what kind of flight might be possible.

Safe, Planned & Compliant Drone Operations

Drone photography isn’t something that should be organised without checking the details, particularly around busy commercial sites, industrial premises and public areas.

Having permission to access a building doesn’t automatically mean it’s safe or legal to fly a drone there.

Before confirming a flight, several things need to be considered:

  • Applicable UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements
  • Airspace restrictions and necessary permissions
  • Nearby buildings, roads and public areas
  • People who aren’t involved in the drone operation
  • Suitable take-off and landing locations
  • Weather, wind and visibility conditions
  • Power lines, cranes and elevated structures
  • Construction activity and industrial site hazards

For larger logistics premises and industrial estates, site traffic, vehicle movements and normal business operations are particularly important considerations.

For construction projects, the flight may also require coordination with the site manager, relevant inductions and safety documentation.

Flights are planned and risk-assessed under applicable CAA requirements, with appropriately authorised drone operators used for the proposed operation.

If a particular flight can’t be completed safely or legally, I’ll explain the limitations and discuss whether another approach might be suitable.

Getting useful photographs is important, but safety always comes first.

Combining Drone & Commercial Photography

An aerial photograph is a brilliant way of showing the whole site, but it doesn’t always tell the complete story.

Take a warehouse or manufacturing facility, for example.

A drone can show the building, surrounding roads, loading areas and the scale of the premises.

But if you’re putting together a company website or marketing brochure, you might also need photographs of the equipment, staff and work happening inside.

For a construction project, aerial photography can show progress across the site, while ground-level images capture the smaller details and completed workmanship.

Because I also offer commercial photography, we can discuss combining both perspectives as part of the same project.

That could include:

  • Aerial and ground-level commercial property photography
  • Construction progress and completed project images
  • Warehouses and industrial facilities
  • Manufacturing processes and workplace photography
  • Property development marketing
  • Company websites, brochures and case studies

We’ll work out what photographs you actually need and whether aerial photography, traditional commercial photography or a combination will be most useful.

Wakefield Drone Photography FAQs

Thinking about aerial photography for a construction site or commercial property? Here are some useful things to know. You can also call me on 07540 118 284.

Do you provide drone photography throughout Wakefield?

Yes. I cover drone photography enquiries across Wakefield and surrounding areas, including Ossett, Horbury, Normanton, Castleford, Pontefract and nearby locations. Every proposed flight needs to be assessed individually before it can be confirmed.

Can you photograph an active construction site in Wakefield?

Yes, where the proposed operation can be completed safely and legally. Live construction sites require planning around workers, machinery, site access and ongoing activities. I’ll discuss the relevant requirements with your site team beforehand.

Can you arrange regular drone visits to document construction progress?

Yes. We can arrange regular visits or photography around important construction milestones. Where practical, planning similar viewpoints can help create a consistent record of changes throughout the development.

Can you photograph warehouses and distribution centres around Wakefield?

Potentially, yes. Aerial photography can be useful for showing the size, layout and surroundings of warehouses, distribution centres and larger industrial facilities. The exact site, airspace, permissions, surrounding roads and people all need assessing before a flight can be confirmed.

Can you fly a drone near busy roads and industrial estates?

That depends on the specific location and proposed operation. Busy roads, vehicle movements, neighbouring properties and people who aren’t involved in the flight can place restrictions on what’s possible. I’ll need to assess the site before advising.

Can drone photographs help with roof inspections?

Where suitable, drone photography can provide visual images of roofs, façades and elevated areas that are difficult to access. These photographs can support an inspection by a qualified professional but don’t replace a structural survey or technical diagnosis.

Do you offer drone filming as well as aerial photographs?

Yes. Drone filming can be useful for commercial property marketing, construction updates, completed projects and promotional video. We can discuss edited footage, shorter clips for social media or material for your existing video production team.

Can you photograph commercial property before it goes on the market?

Yes. Aerial photographs can help show prospective buyers or tenants the building, surrounding land, access routes and wider site layout. We can also discuss combining drone photography with ground-level property photographs.

Are drone flights planned and compliant with CAA requirements?

Yes. Proposed flights are assessed for airspace restrictions, permissions, site conditions and relevant hazards. Operations follow applicable UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements and use appropriately authorised drone operators for the proposed flight.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable for drone photography?

High winds, heavy rain and poor visibility can prevent safe drone operations. If conditions aren’t suitable, the flight won’t go ahead and we’ll discuss rearranging the visit for a safer opportunity.

How much does drone photography in Wakefield cost?

Pricing depends on the location, access requirements, flight planning, complexity and whether you need photographs, video or repeat visits. Once I’ve got the project details, I can provide a quotation based on the work involved.

What information do you need before quoting for a drone shoot?

Ideally, send me the site address or map pin, the type of building or project, what you’d like photographed and how the finished imagery will be used. If you have important dates, site restrictions or plans for repeat visits, include those details too.
