Danny has a lovely personality and it definitely shines through his work. He makes everyone feel comfortable and get their best smiles out. Would recommend for anything you need photographing. We have done his content club too out and about which was also a good way of getting some different shots. Thanks again Danny!

We had a fab day with Danny and Ellen at Shibden Hall grabbing some amazing photos for our business. Danny didn't have just two people to organise - but also our dog Merlin who decided he wanted in on the action. Never misses a trick! Danny was patient, clear, had a great vision for what we wanted to achieve and delivered some amazing pictures - all at great value. If you're looking to boost your image library then do not hesitate to reach out to him - not only will you get some fab images but you'll have so much fun along the way. Thanks Danny!

I wish I could give 20 stars... I commissioned Danny to take a series of photos - but this was not the usual headshots type of gig. I wanted to do a unique exposé on the REAL life of a CEO - the dark and light that goes on behind the scenes. The shoot would capture the hard moments when depression, self doubt, bad habits can get the best of a CEO. Then contrast that with the light side (the better side). Danny understood the assignment. Oh boy, did he understand it!!! Danny's prep was the thing that stood out to me. Before the shoot, he sent me a 'check of understanding' which demonstrated to me that he 'got it'. (It wasn't a standard gig - and I needed a photographer who was above the norm). The shoot was tough in parts (due to the emotion we were trying to capture). But Danny was absolutely amazing. He noticed when I needed a laugh or a break. His professionalism, emotional intelligence and kindness is what has made this shoot a success. Oh yeah - when I got the pics, I nearly fell off my chair because of how brilliant they were. The pics seriously were WAY better than I could have ever dreamed. His attention to detail is second to none. Seriously. If you've made it this far in this review and you're still wondering if you should hire Danny - then you need to sort your face out and sort your life out. He's AMAZING. He's the BEST. I trust him with my brand. And that's saying something. Thank you Danny - from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Danny photographed our wedding, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease. He captured every special moment so naturally, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Looking through them has allowed us to relive our day all over again. His attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions is incredible. Danny blended into the background when needed but was always there to capture the perfect shot. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was and how hard he worked throughout the day. We are beyond grateful for the memories he has given us and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. Thank you, Danny, for capturing our wedding so perfectly – we will treasure these photos forever!

Commercial Photography That Works for Your Wakefield Business

You’ve spent years building your business. You’ve invested in people, equipment, premises and everything else needed to keep things running.

So when somebody looks you up online, you’d quite like them to see what you’ve worked so hard to create.

I’m Danny, and that’s where commercial photography comes in.

I work with businesses across Wakefield, photographing everything from company directors and office teams to products, industrial facilities, commercial vehicles and the people keeping an operation moving.

There’s plenty of variety around here. Professional services in the city centre, engineering and manufacturing businesses, retail companies and larger warehousing and distribution operations across the district.

They all need different things from their photography.

A company recruiting new staff might want to show what it’s like to work there. A manufacturer might need photographs that explain its processes and capabilities. A retailer could be preparing hundreds of products for an eCommerce website.

Before the camera comes out, I’ll want to understand what you’re trying to achieve.

We’ll put a plan together, decide what needs photographing and work out how best to fit everything around your business.

You don’t need to know anything about photography. That’s my job. You just need to tell me what makes your business worth showing people.

– Danny T.

Danny did our commercial photography of all our vans and staff and we was extremely happy with the results. I would happily recommend Danny Thompson photography to all my family, friends and clients.

A DIFFERENT VIEW OF YOUR BUSINESS

Commercial Drone & Aerial Photography in Wakefield

Imagine trying to show somebody the full size of a distribution centre using photographs taken from the car park. You can capture the buildings, but it’s difficult to show how the whole site fits together.

That’s one of the reasons drone photography is so useful for commercial projects.

From warehouses and industrial premises to construction sites and commercial developments, aerial photographs help show the scale, layout and surroundings of a location.

For businesses around Wakefield, including the industrial and logistics areas towards Normanton and Castleford, aerial imagery can be a useful addition to property marketing, company presentations and project documentation.

It can also help with progress photography. If you’re managing a building project over several months, we can discuss photographing the site from similar viewpoints to show how the work develops.

Every proposed drone shoot needs assessing properly.

I’ll check the location, airspace, permissions, surrounding buildings and people, weather and safe operating conditions before confirming whether a flight is possible.

Tell me what you’re trying to photograph and we’ll look at the options.

Commercial Uses for Aerial Photography

  • Warehouse and distribution centre photography
  • Commercial property and industrial premises
  • Construction progress and development sites
  • High-level external building views
  • Property marketing and company presentations
  • Promotional aerial photography and video

Have a Wakefield site in mind? Send me the address and what you’d like to capture.

Commercial Photography, Properly Planned

A successful business shoot starts before I pick up the camera. The more we understand about the photographs you need, the easier it is to get everything covered without disrupting your working day.

01 / THE BRIEF

Tell Me What You’re Working On

We’ll discuss your business, the images you need and where they’ll be used. I’ll help plan the shot list, locations, staff availability and any practical requirements.

02 / THE SHOOT

Get the Photographs Taken

I’ll bring the equipment, organise lighting and guide people where needed. For busy workplaces, we’ll plan around operations, access and the areas we’re photographing.

03 / THE DELIVERY

Ready for Your Marketing

Your selected photographs are professionally edited and delivered through an online gallery. We’ll agree the timescales, intended uses and file requirements beforehand.

On-Site Commercial Photography Across Wakefield

A business photograph is often more interesting when you can see the place where the work happens.

For a manufacturing company, that might mean photographing machinery in use and the people operating it. For a logistics business, it could be the warehouse, loading areas and fleet of vehicles. A professional services company might need portraits and photographs that show the team working together.

I can arrange shoots at businesses throughout Wakefield city centre and the surrounding district, including:

  • Horbury and Ossett
  • Outwood and Stanley
  • Normanton and Castleford
  • Pontefract and Knottingley
  • Ferrybridge
  • South Elmsall and South Kirkby

For industrial and commercial sites, we’ll need to consider access, safety procedures, protective equipment and the areas that can be photographed.

For office teams, it might be as simple as finding a suitable meeting room for headshots and arranging times for each member of staff.

The approach changes depending on the business. The aim stays the same: useful photographs with as little disruption as practical.

More Than Just Something for Your Homepage

When you’re paying for professional photography, you want to get plenty of use out of the finished images.

A new website might be what starts the conversation, but it’s worth thinking about everything else your business needs throughout the year.

Could your sales team benefit from better photographs of your products or premises? Are your recruitment adverts using outdated images? Does your company brochure still feature equipment you’ve replaced?

We can plan commercial photography for:

  • Company websites and service pages
  • Corporate brochures and sales presentations
  • Team profiles and recruitment campaigns
  • Product catalogues and online shops
  • Industrial capabilities and project case studies
  • Company vehicles and commercial fleets
  • Advertising and social media campaigns
  • PR, press releases and business announcements

If your marketing team or web designer has a particular layout in mind, let me know. Photographs for a wide website banner need different framing from images used in a printed brochure or an online product listing.

We can plan those requirements before the shoot rather than trying to make everything fit afterwards.

Studio or On-Location Commercial Photography?

Some projects make much more sense at your own premises.

If you need photographs of your employees working, a production line, your company vehicles or the interior of a commercial building, I’ll come to you in Wakefield.

But for some photography, a studio is the better option.

Product photographs often need consistent lighting and backgrounds, particularly when you’re selling a range of items online. Professional headshots can also benefit from a controlled setup, especially when you want every portrait to have the same style.

My studio, Albion Street Studios, is based at Dean Clough in Halifax and is equipped for headshots, branding and product photography.

If you have a larger team or products that aren’t practical to transport, we can discuss bringing the necessary equipment to your Wakefield premises instead.

We’ll choose whichever approach makes the most sense for the brief.

Find out more about Albion Street Studios.

Keep Your Business Photography Moving

Your business doesn’t stand still. Teams change, new products arrive, buildings get finished and projects move on. If you’re always looking for fresh photographs to support your marketing, there are ways to make the process a bit more regular.

Content Club

If you’re self-employed or the face of your business, Content Club offers regular group photography sessions to keep your professional portraits and personal branding images current. A useful option when you don’t need a full individual shoot every time.

Club Business

For companies with ongoing content requirements, Club Business brings together planned photography and short-form video. We can create new images around products, projects, people and upcoming marketing activity throughout the year.

Wakefield Commercial Photography FAQs

Organising commercial photography for your business? Here are a few practical things worth knowing. You can also call me on 07540 118 284.

What commercial photography services do you offer in Wakefield?

I offer corporate headshots, business branding, product and eCommerce photography, industrial and manufacturing photography, commercial property, events and suitable drone photography projects. We can arrange one particular service or combine several into a wider business shoot.

Can you photograph our warehouse or distribution centre?

Yes. We can plan photography of your premises, equipment, working areas, staff and relevant operations. Before visiting, I’ll need to understand the site layout, access requirements, safety procedures and which activities or areas you want photographed.

Can you photograph our company vehicles and staff together?

Yes. Commercial photography can include company vehicles, fleet photographs, team portraits and workplace imagery. We’ll discuss how many vehicles and people are involved, where the photographs will be taken and the best way to organise everything.

Can you arrange corporate headshots at our Wakefield office?

Absolutely. I can bring a professional lighting and headshot setup to a suitable space at your workplace. It’s often easier for businesses with several staff members, as employees can have their photographs taken without travelling to a separate studio.

How do we keep our staff headshots consistent when new employees join?

We’ll agree a background, lighting setup and style for the original photographs. Those details can then be used as a reference when arranging portraits of new team members, helping keep your company website and staff profiles looking consistent.

Can you photograph products for an eCommerce website or catalogue?

Yes. We can plan consistent product photographs with suitable backgrounds, lighting and angles, along with close-up details or more creative lifestyle images where needed. If your website or marketplace requires particular image dimensions, let me know before the shoot.

Do you offer photography for manufacturing and engineering companies?

Yes. I photograph industrial environments, machinery, manufacturing processes, equipment and people at work. We’ll discuss any site safety requirements, protective equipment, restricted access and commercially sensitive areas before arranging the photography.

Can you provide drone photography of our Wakefield commercial premises?

Potentially, yes. Drone photography can be useful for showing the scale and layout of larger properties, industrial sites and developments. Every proposed flight needs checking for airspace restrictions, permissions, weather, nearby buildings and people, and safe operating conditions.

Can you photograph our business across several Wakefield locations?

Yes. If your company has several offices, warehouses or other premises, we can put together a photography schedule covering the required locations. We’ll plan the people and images needed at each site, along with travel and equipment setup times.

Can you work from a brief supplied by our marketing agency?

Of course. If your designer or marketing team has prepared a shot list, brand guidelines, website layouts or image dimensions, send them over. I’ll use that information to help plan the shoot and make sure the photographs suit their intended uses.

Do you photograph corporate events, launches and conferences in Wakefield?

Yes. I can cover conferences, awards evenings, business launches, networking events and other corporate occasions. We’ll discuss the running order, key people, sponsors and important moments beforehand, especially if you need images for PR or marketing.

Can our business use the photographs in advertising, print and online marketing?

We’ll agree the intended usage as part of your photography brief. That might include your website, social media, brochures, advertising, product catalogues, recruitment or company presentations. Any specific licensing or file requirements should be discussed before the shoot.
