What are Branding Headshots?
Simply, branding headshots are like the face of your business. They’re those smart photos you get taken to show the world who you are and what your business is all about. It’s not just any old snapshot, though. These photos are expertly crafted to capture your personality, your values, and what makes your business tick.
Think of it like this – when people see these photos, they should instantly get a feel for your brand’s character. Whether you’re running a cozy tea shop in Harrogate or a tech startup in Leeds, these headshots tell a tale about your professionalism and the way you do things.
A proper branding headshot isn’t just about your grin, it’s about the vibes. The setting, the lighting, even the way you’re standing – it all adds up to create an image that speaks volumes. The idea is to connect with your audience in a way that says, “we’re the real deal, and we’re here to help”.
It’s important to remember, it’s not just for the company bigwigs. Every member of your business can get in on the action, from the boss to the master of brews. This consistency in style and presentation shows that you’re a united team, ready to tackle whatever comes your way.
Take a look at your team’s photographs? do they look like they may need updating? If you find yourself looking at your headsets and thinking “ This doesn’t look like me anymore” well that is a clear sign that it’s time for a refresh. Our brand and style evolves naturally and sometimes businesses shift direction which may mean your current photos are out of date and no longer a true reflection of your business. It could be that you’ve had a drastic change of appearance and your clients might not even recognise you from your current headshot. It’s these small things that provide the consistency and approachable feel to your business.
I advise clients that headshot should be updated every couple of years as a general rule. This is obviously easier said than done if you have a large team or don’t like your photos taking but i’m happy to offer advice if you need it, including what to wear, how to stand and even if to smile or not!
So, remember that your headshot are a way of speaking to your clients and saying “This is us,– and we’re here ready to work for you”
